A Message from the Headteacher – Gillian W. Fennel B.Ed. N.P.Q.H. J.P.
Dear visitor,
Welcome to Collegiate High School Web site and thank you for visiting us.
Collegiate is a Specialist School in Sport and Mathematics. However, we are truly a Community Comprehensive School offering excellent learning opportunities in all aspects of school life both within the classroom and beyond.
Our school motto is Meliora Sequamur – to strive for the best. This is what we try to do for each and every pupil at Collegiate.
Our core purpose is to develop young people who are:
- Successful learners – who make progress and achieve.
- Confident individuals – who lead safe and healthy lives.
- Responsible citizens – who make a positive contribution to society.
Collegiate does this by offering each and every one of its pupils a caring but academically challenging environment both in the curriculum and in our out-of-hours learning programmes. We have a combination of strong traditions and a forward-looking approach to all aspects of teaching and learning. We offer a very broad and balanced range of curricular opportunities at Key Stage 3 and 4. We ensure that all pupils have the best possible guidance at each stage of their school career to ensure that their chosen pathway is the most personalised package that we can offer. This is made possible by the high quality of staff employed at Collegiate and their commitment to each and every child because at Collegiate “Every Child Does Matter”
We are insistent that our pupils wear their school uniform properly, follow the school’s codes of conduct and are proud to be a member of our school. Our Home School Agreement, which is available from this site, confirms our commitment to our pupils and their parents and outlines our expectations of them.
I hope that you will find your visit to our site is interesting and informative. It is, of course, no substitute for a visit to the school – if you would like to come and see us at anytime, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely
Gillian W Fennel
